Malik Chatman
Born and raised in Hell’s Kitchen, the heart of New York City. Growing up taking public transit to school everyday opened my eyes to the world around me and taught me that there’s beauty in every aspect of life, if you’re willing to search for it.
The mantra I have on my website
“A memory worth making is a photo worth taking”
comes from my experience over the years with photography. Usually after being booked for a shoot going through the photos with clients i see the faintest smile wash over their faces while going through the photos. I figure photography is about capturing a moment or feeling and committing it to memory.
